Why The Wealthiest Are The Greatest Givers

Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, George Soros, and  Mark Zuckerburg; Just to name the few. Not only are these people the most wealthiest in the whole world, but according to Forbes; these are also the greatest givers in the world.

While many people hold on to a myth that wealth is evil, and can come through evil covenants. These wealthy people have actually proved to us that there is nothing evil about being wealthy. in fact being wealthy is a system set by God to ensure that by one’s success we might all find happiness. If wealth was evil, then these people wouldn’t dare to share their wealth with the needy. But on the contrary; they have manifested the heart of God as they shared in his act of giving. As God gave the World his Son, they have as well gave the world their fortune. Surely that can’t be evil.

But perhaps the question we should try to look into is why are these people finding it easy to give? someone can say “well, they have money, that’s why!” that can be true, but there is more reason why they give.

What is the difference between being rich and being wealthy? while dictionaries makes these two words to be of similar meaning; yet I find them to be slightly different. According to me; being rich means having an abundance of possessions which you can still manage. being rich is an introduction of being wealthy, yet is not being wealthy. it’s only the introduction of wealth. many people who are rich are not that much of givers. and I will explain to you why.

Being wealthy on the other hand, according to EddiNation’s dictionary: means; to have great abundance of possessions which you can’t manage. this means you moved from a level where you could manage your abundance to a point where you can’t manage them anymore. This is where you get an opportunity to be the greatest giver. and I will show you why.

In Genesis 26:13 the bible says, “and the man (Isaac) became rich, and continued to grow richer until he became very wealthy”. It means he moved from being able to handle his abundance to a point where he struggled to manage it, to a point where we can’t anymore give figures of how much he had, rather than just to say “great possessions”.

Now this is why wealthy people give the most: The only way they can manage their wealth is by giving with portion of their abundance. They give so that they can be able to manage their wealth. Because if they don’t give; they will no longer have control to their wealth, So the best way for them to be able to manage their wealth; they need to cut off some portion to the world. For this reason; rich people are not propelled to give because they can still manage their possessions; but the wealthy; they have no choice but to give, for them to still have control over their possessions.

If you can have five cars, which you can still manage; then you won’t be forced to give them, except by love. but if you have more than ten cars, and you see other five cars which you would like to buy, then you realize there are many cars you own which you never drove. what are you going to do? Give away with those you never drove so you can buy the new ones. wealth management. So Giving has became a Wealth Management System for the wealthy. They give to create space for the new possessions.

As Christians; I believe we should be the ones being the most giving people in this planet, and we can achieve this if we embrace the system of Wealth in our lives. we should stop being intimidated by wealthy by calling it evil; and start embracing wealth as the scriptures lead us. God was the biggest giver and being his Children should make us the greatest givers in the world. and that can only happen if we follow the footsteps of the wealthy. If all Christians can become wealthy; then poverty will not find a chair to sit in the world.

What does the bible say about wealth? I believe God wants to bless us so much like in the days of Abraham, Isaac, Solomon and Job; to a point where like Job we can boldly say, “For when the ear heard, it called me blessed, And when the eye saw, it gave witness of me, 12 Because I delivered the poor who cried for help, And the orphanwho had no helper.  13“The blessing of the one ready to perish came upon me, And I made the widow’s heart sing for joy. (Job 29 )

Few scriptures I will leave you with. read them to discover what the Lord is saying about wealth.

Prov 12:22, Deut 8:18, 2 Chron 25:9, Psa 44:3, Gen 26:12&13,  Prov 8:21 and Psa 107:38

Please drop Us your thoughts, I would really like to hear from you. God bless you!
